Due to severe lightning strikes near the stadium the much anticipated battle between these two divisional rivals had to be postponed. A weather postponement allows this game to be played at a later date. This complies with league rules because both teams were at the stadium when the referees ordered the teams back to their respective locker rooms and asked that the fans seek immediate shelter.

All tickets that were purchased for this game and season ticket passes will be honored when the two teams meet to play this rescheduled match. The new date will be announced.

The Tornados look to rebound from its disappointing preseason loss 3 weeks ago and go 1-0 in the Motor Belt Division and 1-0 for the season when they face the Kane County Eagles in Illinois next Saturday (07/19).

Kickoff for the game against the Eagles is at 7pm CST.
